NOT SO BASIC BASICS

Hello Everyone,

The weather is finally starting to warm up in Toronto, which means we can pull out the shorts and tanks. If you don't really know me, you won't know that I am a girl who wear black all year round regardless of the season. This year I want things to change and with the help of some co-workers I am slowly leaning away from the colour black. In this outfit, I decided to keep it simple yet comfortable.

APRIL FAVOURITES

 Hi lovelies!

Spring is my favourite time of the year. We finally say good bye to good old winter and can finally enjoy being outdoors. Today I am sharing a few of my monthly favourites which include the new Kat Von D shade and light eyeshadow palette. The pigmentation in this palette is incredible and I find that the warmer colours can help you create the perfect look for the Spring and Summer. During the warmer months i love having my makeup looking fresh and youthful and what better is there to do that then pink blush :) The blushes I have been using non stop are Nars Orgasm which is an ultimate favourite and Chanel blush in 160 Innocence. Nars orgasm is more of brighter pink with reflexes of gold glitter which reflects more light off the face. Always remember a little goes a long way. With one sweep of this blush you instantly look more awake and takes place of a blush and highlighter. On days I want more of a subtle look I opt out for my Chanel blush which has cooler undertones and more refined sparkle. To tie the entire look together, I use Nars lip crayon in the shade Rikugien which I got for my birthday from Sephora beauty insider program. WASHED IN BLUE

We all believe comfort should always come first, which is something I firmly believe in. When I style my outfits, I look for pieces that are effortless, easy to transition season to season and also the level of comfort. Some tips and tricks to building your wardrobe are to buy essentials and easy to transition pieces. Everyone needs a white and black simple tee, a pair of flattering denim, and a simple yet elegant dress. In this look I have paired up the Community Veritas shirt from Aritzia which is an oversized button down that looks amazing with pants, skirts, and our favourite boyfriend shorts! I've paired up this top with the Wilfred Cauchy pants also from Aritzia. I've been on the hunt for a pair of dressy pants that don't make me look like a clown and I finally found them!!! The material of these pants are what sold me right away, instantly you could tell how amazing the quality was without a doubt. I know I will be a lot of wear out of these bad boys. When talking about comfort, did anyone mention Converse???? If I could get paid to wear converses every day, I would do it without a doubt.
